Former sports journalist and now author of ’Foul Play’, ‘Dead Ball’  and the ‘Football Academy’ series, Tom has travelled the world training teachers in techniques to encourage boys to read. ‘Foul Play’- a mix of football and mystery, won the Blue Peter: ‘Book I Couldn't Put Down’ award. Tom’s energetic and inter-active event includes his now famous penalty shoot-out challenge. His Football Academy & Foul Play Series Reading Challenge offers free certificates, charts, sticker book and stickers, with simple guidelines to motivate readers.
