Grand Central Hotel

​Glasgow’s celebrity hotel - The Central - opened in 1883 and was the talk of the town with guests who included Gene Kelly, Laurel and Hardy, and The Queen. It was ‘the’ place to hold a wedding, AGM or celebration. In 2011 the Grand Central reopened after a £20 million refurbishment. Jill Scott, Bill Hicks and Grand Central’s manager Laurie Nicol reminisce about the hotel’s story so far, and the central role it plays in the heart of Glasgow. Tea and cakes served with this event.
