Richard Holloway

Richard Holloway is a writer and broadcaster, and was formerly Bishop of Edinburgh in the Scottish Episcopal Church. He remains Gresham Professor of Divinity in the City of London and a Fellow of the Royal Society. He has written for many newspapers in Britain including the Times, Guardian, Sunday Herald and the Scotsman and has presented his own series on BBC Television. His many books include Looking in the Distance: The Human Search for Meaning, Godless Morality, Between the Monster and the Saint: The Divided Spirit of Humanity and How to Read the Bible. His latest book is Leaving Alexandria: A Memoir of Faith and Doubt (Canongate Books Ltd).
