Liam Murray Bell

Liam Murray Bell was born in the Orkney Islands, and continues to write about them, although he was brought up in Glasgow. After studying for an Undergraduate degree at Queen’s University of Belfast, Liam returned to Glasgow to write for the MLitt in Creative Writing. This decision was taken after success studying under prose and script writers whilst at Queen’s. He has been published in New Writing Scotland and teaches a writers’ workshop at Hyndland Secondary School. His current project is a novel based in the village of St. Margaret’s Hope, Orkney, in which a young beachcomber finds himself embroiled in a mysterious Trust that has led to both suicide and murder in the isolated and claustrophobic community.
