About the Book Group

This is the third year of the Aye Write! Online Book Group.

We all have plenty to say about the books we read in our own groups - now we have the chance to share our thoughts with the wider world.

This year we are reading the books from the Tesco Bank Summer Read , an initiative to promote reading and new Scottish books. The 20 titles, set in Scotland and written by authors born or living in Scotland, form a shortlist that ranges across different reading tastes, levels and formats, including fiction, non-fiction, autobiography, adult, teen and children, English, Scots, Gaelic, paperback, spoken word and graphic novel  -  there is something for everyone.

This shortlist will be promoted across Scotland from March to August, culminating in a public vote allowing people to select five winning titles and, ultimately, the ‘best’ book.
